Common questions

01 Starting a conversation

How do I start?
Tap any "Start chatting" button on the site. There is no form in front of it — you go into the queue immediately, and a match usually takes seconds.
Do I need an account?
Not to start. No username, no email and nothing to confirm. Some things ask you to sign in later; nothing does before a first conversation.
Nobody is matching. What now?
Wait a few seconds and tap again — availability moves with the clock, and quiet hours in your timezone are busy ones somewhere else.

02 Text and video

Can I chat without a camera?
Yes. Text is a full mode, not a fallback, and your camera never switches itself on. See the random text chat page for how the typed side works.
How do I switch from text to video?
There is a control in the conversation. Both people have to want it — one side offering does not turn anything on for the other.
My camera or microphone is not working
The browser asks for permission the first time; if you dismissed that prompt, the site cannot ask again on its own. Re-allow the permission in your browser settings for this site, then reload the page.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. It runs in a mobile browser with nothing to install, and works the same way it does on a laptop.

03 Coins and payment

What is free and what is not?
Starting is free and needs no account. Longer private video sessions run on coins, and the price is shown on screen before anything is spent.
Is there a subscription?
No. There is no membership tier gating the basic chat, so there is nothing to remember to cancel.
How do I buy coins?
From the wallet inside the app. Payment is handled by the payment provider rather than stored on this site.
Something went wrong with a payment
Use the contact page with the date and the amount. Payment issues are the one thing that cannot be resolved from inside a conversation.

04 Problems and people

Somebody is behaving badly
End the conversation with one tap, then report it — the control is inside the conversation and reports are read by moderators. The safety page has the detail.
Can I get a conversation back?
No. Threads live with the session and there is no archive, which is deliberate rather than an oversight.
The page will not load properly
Reload first, then try a private window to rule out an extension. Ad blockers and strict privacy extensions can interfere with a video connection.
